Courses

Just before Christmas 2015 the yarn company, Isager, took over Tversted Skole as it had been closed as an elementary school in the summer that year. A part of the buildings at the school is being used by Isager for yarn warehouse and administration, but most of the former classrooms are rented out to local crafts people.

Four times per year there is an OPEN WORKSHOPS event at the school, and there are also workshops open to everyone during the year. There are workshops for Paper Making, Letter Press, Bookbinding, Ceramics, Sculpturing. For textile works there is weaving, plant dyeing and spinning using the wool from the sheep and alpacas who live near the school. Willow weaving and sewing courses are also being offered.

All in all, emphasis is placed on the students having an exciting and educational stay at the school. Keep an eye on Tversted School’s course calendar. You are also most welcome to offer a course yourself under the auspices of the school.
