Hiking Route Around Tversted
Naturring Tversted is a 24‑kilometre hiking route encircling Tversted. The trail offers highly varied, unique, and diverse nature of both national and international significance. Along the way, you pass through five protected areas that are carefully managed to preserve biodiversity. From west to east, these protected areas are Uggerby Klitplantage, the mouth of the Uggerby River, Tversted River, Tversted’s Green Front, and Vesterklit.

Tversted Beach
Tversted is known for having one of the best beaches in Denmark. Find your own lookout spot among the high dunes or enjoy the wide sandy beach with swimming and play. The beach is especially beautiful at sunset, when the sky is painted in warm golden colours. Throughout the year, the beach is also popular for winter bathing, enjoyed by both locals and visitors. For those who prefer it, it is possible to drive onto the beach by car.
Tversted Lakes
Tversted Lakes is a beautiful natural area where calm water mirrors the sky and birdlife thrives. The paths around the lakes invite peaceful walks, runs, and nature experiences close to the water. It is an ideal place to enjoy the quiet, observe wildlife, or have a picnic in green surroundings. The lakes offer a tranquil contrast to the open landscape of the beach and are perfect for anyone wanting to experience the area’s rich natural diversity.
Mountain Biking in Tversted Klitplantage
A dedicated group of MTB enthusiasts has established a new trail in Tversted Klitplantage for those of you who can’t imagine a holiday without your bike. The trail winds beautifully through the forest, offers plenty of variation, and is classified as a blue trail – meaning it is suitable for riders of all levels.
